Take a Minute

Nothing is perfect man, that's what the world is,
All I know is,
I'm enjoying today.

They seated me and my mom next to a "first-date" couple. Oh, the things you overhear.
Guy: so .. are u one of those girls that get superjealous when guys have other girl friends?Girl: No it doesnt matter they're just friends
Guy: You're so relaxed. I like that about u. Not like other girls. Uptight.Girl: giggly-puff*giggle*gigglefest. aww thanks!
I was about to chuck my corn at them but man that's somegood corn, I am not letting my corn go to waste. The guy also dropped the f-bom a few too many times.. to which my mom raised her eyebrow.Something about people who curse too much is unattractive.
Safe to say, my mom and I were amused but too busy nibbling on this amazing corn.
By now, if you haven't seen the amazing marketing campaign brought to you by the geniuses over at Nike, you are missing out. Gotta love the Kobe System. All of the ads are delightfully inspiring, but this one is my favorite yet! When you dominate the game early, you should also dominate the game late! Dominate REM sleep!
I never would've guessed that this heavy commercial is from a rice distributor. My parents always tell me a son/daughter can never possibly equate the love that parents have for their children. We will turn 60 years old one day, and they will still see us as their baby. My dad still picks out fishbones for me, and my mom still tells me to wear socks when it's a cold day. I'm almost certain if it ever came down to having to piggy back me to walk even as a grown adult, they would do it without hesitation. How do you repay your parents for the love that they surrender to you unconditionally? Despite petty trivial things we may go through every once in a while, at the end of the day we should never take our family for granted.
Happy New Year! :]
<3 Thank you to my friends for having me be a part of their new year celebration. I come from a small family, so it means so much to me to have extended friends be a part of their family.
It's a very auspicious year in general, but it's especially good for me. I have a positive outlook and look forward to all that lies ahead. Love, laughter, and joy with the people I love most.
Wishing you all a happy lunar new year.
Love,
Me
This isn't just about "piracy". As far as I'm concerned, it's about freedom. As long as no one can dictate the food I eat, the time I can wake up, the things I decide to do every waking minute, no one should be able to dictate what I post or choose to see on the internet.

With 2012 ahead of us, my main concern is to stay healthy! Because when I'm down, I go down. Some people when sick are unfazed.. they can still function normally and people couldn't even tell that they're under. When I get sick, my entire world falls apart. I feel the need to punch myself to get on with it. Hence, I must prevent the problem before it starts. Cheers to you and your health and if you have any other tips to stay fit as a fiddle, share! :) Let's make this an awesome year, shall we?
I'm still mulling over the downhill aftermath of the 2nd half. What is it about Portland that they're always motivated to beat our Lakers? When I watched Blazers vs Clippers, Wallace was lethargic and I was even telling myself, thank goodness we didn't get a trade for that guy afterall. Come yesterday, the Blazers were a juiced up squad, trying to run and outgun us, wearing our old players down, and really? Did Wallace need to have his breakthrough offensive performance against US? Sure Bynum (oh 2012, be good to us please), Kobe (hope the wrist is OK), and Pau came out to play, but the bottom-line is we got our butts handed to us in the 3rd quarter.. Maybe my dad wasn't far off when he longingly watched Lowry the night before and said we could use a PG like him. No disrespect to Fisher, as he's been a great asset to us over the years. It's just that we would need to keep up with all these fresh young opponents. Steve Blake has spirited energy and I admit, will surprise me every now and then for an outside shot (oh the good old Maryland days), or a thoughtful pass, but for a perfect team, we need a stellar starting PG to help meld it all together. For now, I am happy that Bynum is giving gusto and playing harder than previous years, Kobe is still Kobe, and looking forward to the rest of the (tough, but entertaining) season. Is it just me or are there a gazillion back to back games now since they had a shorter schedule to work with? Advantage for the younger squads out there. And how about that Triple OT in Atlanta?! Man, I love this game.
Who doesn't love Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel?
What are YOU doing New Year's Eve? :)
