It doesn't surprise me this movie is brought to us by the same director of Suicide Club.

Ah, Japanese cult film lovers, this one is for you.  Subtle(?) horror.  That awkward laugh from a disturbing scene.  Blood.  Lust.  Tension.  All of that wrapped into one.

    My initial response:  pretty insane.

The more I thought about it, I felt the acting was superb.  The main character starts from playing a timid, unsuspecting victim and you watch his evolution throughout the movie.  Be warned, there are intense graphic scenes involving nudity.  This movie isn't meant for the weak of heart, nor is it meant for those who watch typical mainstream fa-la-la-la-la blockbuster movies.  This movie is for those cult-movie watchers who like the unexpected.  The ones who appreciate a marriage of sick and twisted fantasy to bring about a raw sense of humor.  It's a bunch of "WTF" moments.

On the outside, I'm just a typical everyday tomboyish girl.  I like glitter and bright colors, and wearing nail polish etc.  But on the inside, I have guilty pleasures.  This kind of crazy movie hits the spot.  My friend would say, it's definitely a conversation piece.

My biggest takeaway from today's loss: Steve Jobs was a legend who led a revolution in technology and music that would impact the entire world.  But even more than the product that would touch the masses, is the reminder about life I get whenever someone amazing passes.  I'm not saying everyone has to be extraordinary like Steve Jobs.  But evaluate yourself and what you are doing with your life currently.  Are you happy with what you are doing?  This applies to all angles and levels of your life whether it's your career, health, family, relationships, etc.  Is there something you want to change?  Ultimately, the most relevant question to ask yourself is, if you were to die tomorrow, have you done all you wanted to today?  In certain circumstances, you may be limited to be more practical about life decisions, but in the cases where you can control what you're doing or how you're doing it, try to progress without regrets and hesitation.  Take a risk or a chance, without concerning yourself too much about failure.  I'm not saying be stupid either.  It's okay to deviate from your path.  Do everything with a wise frame of mind.  Weigh pro's and con's.  Write out goals and tackle challenges.  Don't hurt people in the process.  How do you know if something would work or not if you never tried?  Don't be so self conscious either.  Don't take good people who surround you for granted.  Who cares what others think?  Live your life today and progress towards tomorrow.

And boy, I sure do love my iPod, thanks for revolutionizing music and technology.

Any Joseph Gordon Levitt fans out there?  Ah, you see, I was a big fan of his when he was he was on Third Rock from the Sun.  And then.. he grew into this lovable actor from his quirky self in 500 Days of Summer to action-packed Inception.

Anyway, not sure what to think about this upcoming film.. I'm a fan of his and I do enjoy cycling.. so who knew you could come up with an bicycling thriller?  Have yet to see..  In the meanwhile, here's a peek.

And you can catch him in 50/50 which comes out  9/30.

I don't know anyone who doesn't appreciate a good moleskin every now and then.

I thought these custom printed ones on Etsy were pretty clever.  Not trying to promote violence but this one made me crack up.  Actually on a more positive note, I always wanted to publish my Ultimate Book of People who are Genuinely Nice because They are, Not because They're Trying to Be Nice.  One day.  One day.

This show makes me dance, all day everyday. Combined with one of Childish Gambino's tracks makes it that much better.

My heart skips a beat to:
That really good song that you can put on repeat without getting tired of it, the perfect swish from nothing but net, bright colors that scream attention which I don't like to bask in, cars that remind me of cartoons, the right sneakers for every occasion, the honest "I've-missed-you" look my dog gives me when I come home, a quick run in the dark imagining someone is chasing me, anything kawaiiiiii, frozen desserts of many fulfilling kinds, heroes or arch-nemeses, life ambitions and carpe diem actions, exercising brain power, exploring So Cal, and eating food that is yummy-yummy, in my tummy. Did I mention I'm a web-junkie? Long live internet!
