I am an advocate of unconventional advertising and thinking outside the box.  It doesn't even have to be a wild, crazy, or unthinkable, it's just an added plus if there's something a little creative or different.

So here's an attempt by a fitness company in Europe, making people aware of their weight -  Sit on this bench and voila, your weight is displayed to the world.  A subtle motivator for someone to join the gym I suppose.

I had a sudden craving for fish tacos.  But I wanted to stay on the healthy side and use tilapia filets, rather than breaded, battered deep-fried fish.

    Time including preparation/cooking:  47 mins.

I baked the tilapia in a mixture of red onion, black pepper, salt, olive oil, and crushed red pepper, nothing too crazy.  I work with whatever's in our fridge, which isn't much nowadays.  At 375 degrees for about half an hour, the tilapia came out moist and flavorful.   I chopped up some tomatoes and cabbage/carrot slaw on the side to add on top.  I realized how much I suck at chopping tomatoes.  And finally just a touch of green salsa for a little kick.  Wahoo's eat your heart out.  And Strawberry lemonade is a nice suitor for this meal, although a Corona would've been a good fit, too.

Interesting song, I think I am biased to like it because it mentions California.  But the video is cute.

Today's Dr. Seuss's (aka Theodor Geisel) birthday.  He would've been 105.  I suppose I only know this because there is a cool Google/Dr. Seuss dedicated logo today at google.com

Pictured is my favorite Dr. Seuss book.  To this day I still have my original copy.  Not to date myself, but this means my book is 20+ years old but remains timeless.  I will pass it on to my future kids one day.

It was brought to my attention that white strawberries exist in Japan and sell on average for $10 USD each.  I believe it's specifically cultivated/developed, I don't think it's something we'd just stumble upon in nature.  Wonder what they taste like?

..."the Audi R8--the first one in the United States equipped with the 5.2-liter V10--was the winner in a charity auction, selling for $500,000, well above the car's sticker price of $180,000."  (news via autoweek.com)  Proceeds go to the Boys&Girls Clubs.

Here I am backing mine out the driveway.  OK, fine, it's not mine but this is a pre-production version.  I can only imagine.

    Gquest

Gatorade's latest campaign is their quest for G, involving some cameos from Kevin Garnett, Usain Bolt, Alicia Sacramone and the Jabbawockeez.  It's... interesting.  Their acting skills however, might not be award-winning.  Thirsty for some Gatorade?

My heart skips a beat to:
That really good song that you can put on repeat without getting tired of it, the perfect swish from nothing but net, bright colors that scream attention which I don't like to bask in, cars that remind me of cartoons, the right sneakers for every occasion, the honest "I've-missed-you" look my dog gives me when I come home, a quick run in the dark imagining someone is chasing me, anything kawaiiiiii, frozen desserts of many fulfilling kinds, heroes or arch-nemeses, life ambitions and carpe diem actions, exercising brain power, exploring So Cal, and eating food that is yummy-yummy, in my tummy. Did I mention I'm a web-junkie? Long live internet!
