--------------------------------------Random Fact: Did you know Joe Alexander was born in Taiwan? A man who can speak in foreign tongue AND play ball? That's hotness..
Rudy is pretty funny. Vota!
And Russell Westbrook, former Bruin (hey, I'm from LA, can't help that)
Who's strong enough to take on Dwight??
I've got mixed feelings about this one. I'm not like the biggest Eminem fan in the world, but I can't deny I have his older albums in my iPod collection. What do you guys think of his new track feat. Dre & 50?
"Every verse, every line, as simple as nursery rhymes Its elementary. The elephants have entered the room.
I venture to say with the same repetition is true Not to mention back with a vengeance and hit the signal Of the bat symbol. The platinum dude is back on you hoes."Hmm... I dunno, I'd have to say I'm not feeling the lyrics but I have a feeling this could fly mainstream.
--------------------------------Here's a song I'm digging on right now though it's not new, Lupe grows on me more everyday. I was once told he is a 'lyrical genius' by a diehard fan.
--------------------------------And because I grew up on R&B, here's my props to Jamie Foxx for his new song "Just Like Me" It reminds me of Tyrese (kind of, sort of, not really) with a little bit of RKelly/Ray-J rhythm.
--------------------------------Here's an oldie but goodie Chris Brown, but one that hasn't been like played out on the radio (yet).
--------------------------------And last but definitely not least, I can't go without at least one, two, three Kanye tracks.
OK, so Samsung had to come out with something to outdo the Blu Ray player I just bought. Although, I'm not sure if I feel the new design, it may be slimmer, but it looks really wide. Maybe it's the angle of the camera? (via engadget.com)
Over the holidays, the best gift I got, was actually one I got for myself. I was coasting through Cost Co with a friend, and low and behold, for a limited time only, a Blu Ray player for only $179, HDMI cable-included. It's no PS3, but it's one heck of a deal for Blu Ray. Plus, it was more of a gift for the entire family (as I can justify it as such), so we can all watch movies in high def together.
Currently on my shelf: Dark Knight Departed Sweeney Todd Pan's LabyrinthI don't feel like re-buying movies I already have in DVD format - so for now these will do. Any recommendations?
Who does their marketing, this is so bizarre! I was watching the very serious Lakers/Celtics game (YEAH LAKERS! btw) and then they spring this kind of advertising on you.
These are called Sanuk Sidewalk Surfers and I first saw them on a film director's feet. Those who don't hail from LA, assume we Los Angelenos run into celebrities and directors everyday. This is NOT true. But sure we may drive by an occasional film shoot and stare intensely at the directors' wardrobe, that's how I first spied these. He had on the most casual cargo shorts (it seems most people in TV or movies have this freedom), and the softest looking shoes I've ever seen. I tried on a pair at a local surf shop and they fit the bill. Too bad the only pair they had left were visibly dirty samples they kept on the salesfloor.
Curbing my shoe addiction is not an easy task. My
friend Elle sifted through my closet and exclaimed, you have so many
shoes! But they're all sneakers! She couldn't understand it. No Jimmy
Choo's, no Manolo Blahnik's (not that I could afford any of those
anyway), no espradilles nor gladiators. Hey, these don't qualify as sneakers though, they're more like slippers.
So.. this is an Ebay auction for a signed tennis racquet from Kobe, and a date at Carl's Jr. with Kobe himself plus guaranteed credits in this film this guy who is hosting this auction is developing about homeless people living in vans in Laguna Beach.
Did I mention you can buy it now for $100,000? Yeah, keep rubbing your eyes. This is one super-pricey racquet. Or I guess quality time with Kobe while munching on a famous star is just as expensive.
Brandon Roy is the talk of the town after a career high 52 points while dueling in last night's game against Phoenix. This video makes it seem like they won a championship(?!) but nonetheless it was a highly entertaining game. Gotta love NBA on TNT.
