    Literally?

We're eating at a Mexican restaurant right now and they have these stuffed animals at the front. This makes me smile.

But anytime I eat Mexican food, I am so stuffed. Kinda like these guys. So Yummy though, salsa is one of the best condiments in the world. Next to soy sauce ad ketchup.

They call themselves International Secret Agents.  I call them - talented individuals.

    Tonight's lineup:

    Magnetic North - http://www.magnetichiphop.com/
    Jennifer Chung - http://www.myspace.com/jenniferchung
    Quest Dance Crew - http://www.myspace.com/questdance
    Tatum Jones - http://www.tatumjonesmusic.com/
    Paul Dateh - http://pauldateh.com/
    Wong Fu Produtions - http://www.wongfuproductions.com/
    FarEast Movement & DJ Virman - http://www.fareastmovement.com

These groups of rising Asian-American stars put on quite a show in the San Gabriel Valley, in front of 1000's of local highschool and college kids.  And they know how to get these kids on their feet.  And no, it's not just for the free T-shirts they were tossing into the crowds either.

Whether they sing, rap, dance, serenade, direct movies, or play a mean violin - there's one thing they all have in common.  They're all passionate about what they do, work hard, and inspire those of us out there that it is possible to live out your dream and still do what you love.

Much thanks to our boys from FM (KevNish for the invite), and Virman - for showing us how it gets done.

Well, words can't describe how much fun I had tonight.

Maybe this picture might do some justice, but nah, probably not.

I will have more pictures to post later, but just a heads up - one of the best concerts thrown ever.  So much talent in the building, rising stars with great potential, who give all of us that glimmer of hope.  We root them on because we want them to blow up.  To live out their dreams.  To continue entertaining us and inspiring us.  It says something like, do what you want to do, because you only live for today.  Props to these young, talented stars, and thanks for an amazing night.

.. OK for such a dramatic title, not really. It's nothing like a Polaroid except for the fact that you take pictures and they instantly spit out these mini cards of you and your friends. I think that's what it does anyway?

I just saw this at a Japanese store today and was drawn to it. The cameras go for $145-$245. But the paper packs of 10 are $12 each. Pricey paper eh?

But it was so cute. It's like sticker pics but bigger. I used to be a sticker pic whore, yes I can't deny it. I don't know why I fancy things like this.

Anyone Japanese or more knowledgable than me, care to explain more than my guess?

It's like how excited I used to get when my friends who got to play in softball league growing up would exchange their own "baseball" eRr I guess technically "softball" cards with me. And they had their stats on the back. Like I used to think that was the coolest thing ever. *nerd alert* I know.

    ...pho.

My friend A sent me this as my lunch crew hit up one of our regular spots only to discover one of the oldest marketing techniques in the book. A you-can't-possibly-miss-this-unless-you're-blind-as-a-bat sign on the street.

I wonder though, do you think this sign is big enough?? And on top of the car at that! It amuses me but I'm sure it can be effective.

I don't know what happened. Is this some kind of iPhone glitch or special effects in camera mode that I don't know about?

This would've been a cute mugshot of the little guy, but oh well.

I grew up in a household that values family. It's always just been me and my parents. Three peas in a pod.

My friends' family reminds me of ours.

    Photo

I remember holding both hands once upon a time.

And cruel people would ask, "who do you love more, mommy or daddy?"

To which I remained mute. I did not waste my breath on such trivial questions. Besides, if I had replied, "Both, equally", they probably wouldn't have been satisfied.

My answer is still the same twenty some odd years later, and I still love my family. I know this little one loves her parents, too.

My heart skips a beat to:
That really good song that you can put on repeat without getting tired of it, the perfect swish from nothing but net, bright colors that scream attention which I don't like to bask in, cars that remind me of cartoons, the right sneakers for every occasion, the honest "I've-missed-you" look my dog gives me when I come home, a quick run in the dark imagining someone is chasing me, anything kawaiiiiii, frozen desserts of many fulfilling kinds, heroes or arch-nemeses, life ambitions and carpe diem actions, exercising brain power, exploring So Cal, and eating food that is yummy-yummy, in my tummy. Did I mention I'm a web-junkie? Long live internet!
