This commercial gives me the heebie-jeebies. haha but J-I-B marketing still gets props from me for thinking "outside" the box.

(found via liquidgeneration.com) Quite possibly the best 200 seconds a movie buff will invest in his life.
Though I'm a Dodger fan by heart - I must say, the level of energy exhibited by the fans at the World Baseball Classics, and the level of talent exhibited by the players, astounds me. Any baseball fan will truly appreciate the WBC.
The game was intensely electrifying, the crowds cheered insane chants, and my ears are still ringing from the experience. It was a face/off between rivals Japan and Korea. Japan's hero - Ichiro Suzuki pulled through in the 10th inning (yes, the game went an extra inning once Korea tied it up 3-3 in the 9th), to finish the game 5-3.
I'm impressed with both teams, for their arduous determination, and sheer athleticism! You'll get a pleasant surprise out of these Asian teams, because they just kick up their intensity and they're quick, quick, quick!
Hooray for the WBC!

Kanye West hosted an all-star concert at this year's SXSW, March 21, 2009.
For those who aren't familiar with SXSW, it's a giant week-long interactive festival with music and film held in Austin, Texas, and 2009 brought in an influx of tech-savvy attendees. From what I hear, it was THE show to be at this year.
Kanye headed up an all-star cast that included Common, Consequence, and Kid Cudi, performing 30 songs! Who wants to go next year?
So I came across an online store that only sells tees with names. Self explanatory. Interested? http://thenamesbrand.com/
I am an advocate of unconventional advertising and thinking outside the box. It doesn't even have to be a wild, crazy, or unthinkable, it's just an added plus if there's something a little creative or different.
So here's an attempt by a fitness company in Europe, making people aware of their weight - Sit on this bench and voila, your weight is displayed to the world. A subtle motivator for someone to join the gym I suppose.

I had a sudden craving for fish tacos. But I wanted to stay on the healthy side and use tilapia filets, rather than breaded, battered deep-fried fish.
Time including preparation/cooking: 47 mins.
I baked the tilapia in a mixture of red onion, black pepper, salt, olive oil, and crushed red pepper, nothing too crazy. I work with whatever's in our fridge, which isn't much nowadays. At 375 degrees for about half an hour, the tilapia came out moist and flavorful. I chopped up some tomatoes and cabbage/carrot slaw on the side to add on top. I realized how much I suck at chopping tomatoes. And finally just a touch of green salsa for a little kick. Wahoo's eat your heart out. And Strawberry lemonade is a nice suitor for this meal, although a Corona would've been a good fit, too.
Props to Steve Nash as well as many other fine athletes who give back to the community. There are many ways you can also help, check out http://stevenash.org to see how you can make an assist, and specifically help children in their health, personal development, education and enjoyment of life.
Interesting song, I think I am biased to like it because it mentions California. But the video is cute.
