Will be airing on ESPN March 11, 2012 9PM ET.

I grew up in L.A., though I was young, Magic Johnson was a big part of our household.  My dad's the type of dad who has to watch the game somehow if it is on, even if we're eating dinner somewhere.  He would bring his headphones with him to restaurants or if we're at home the game is always on the TV.  So you can be sure we'll be catching this documentary on Magic Johnson.

I thought this was such a clever little ad for a "Red Field Notes Memo Book"..  the creativity in each page is delightful.  And gosh, pop-ups are so cool!   Plus, it's oh-so-cute, how much Bryan really hearts Tracie.

From Stand Up To Cancer "One in three cancer deaths can be prevented through altering lifestyle habits, such as eating healthy or exercising regularly. The 2012 World Cancer Day initiative will operate with a mission to collect pledges of individual lifestyle changes, as opposed to strictly monetary funds, and will encourage participants to commit to healthy choices."

I've always believed by making healthy choices, we can stay healthy.  While it may not be a guarantee to ward off the chances of getting cancer, it definitely does not hurt to do what we can to prevent it.  We can also use this rule of thumb to help prevent all other sorts of diseases that are easily inevitable from harm done to our bodies.  So whether you pledge to put out a cigarette, drink less alcohol, or eat less red meat, see the doctor for a regular checkup.. every little bit will help us out in the long term.

I love movies.  I like indie films, blockbuster films, documentaries, comedies, scary movies.. I'm pretty much open to a lot of genres.  My least favorite would have to be war movies and typical romantic comedies with the typical romantic comedy actor who can't seem to portray any other character other than that typical romantic comedy actor.  Ashton Kutcher, I'm calling you out!

For some reason, more and more of my friends have stopped watching scary films...  I like that occasional adrenaline rush from a good scare!  Waiting to see what lurks in the shadows...

Recently sitting at the movie theater, I liked that they showed an image of a the inside of a movie theater and placed the Woman in Black in one of the seats.  I think the only thing that would've topped this, is if they made it interactive somehow.. maybe place a camera into the audience with an image overlay of the Woman in Black so it appears that she is indeed sitting right next to you!  I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

Linh actually topped my interactive idea with the notion that they may as well just have people dress up in costume and sit next to you in the theater.  I replied, if that were to happen, someone is bound to get injured.  If I saw a ghost sitting next to me, I'd probably punch it in the face and run.  Linh replied, you wanted interactive, right?  Nevertheless, Woman in Black is out this weekend, I hope it lives up to the hype of its trailers.

Recently my friend went on a trip to Korea and he said the K-Pop invasion there is intense.

I've always revelled at the fact that these Asian boy and girl band groups often come with 5+ members and seem to 'stick together' to produce albums and dance in front of crazed audiences.  There seems to be a different dynamic, a dedicated mentality that these K-pop groups harbor for the sake of propelling their fame.  It seems largely to do with sucking it up and working together regardless of differences to continue on their path to success.  While we often preach about teamwork and working together, it is more often than not that bands here in the U.S. go on hiatus or fight with their record labels or simply disband so only the lead singer moves on to go solo.  However, even K-Pop bands seem to come and go.  Some stick around longer than others with multiple albums, while others fade away and new ones sprout up.  The latest band -Girls' Generation seems to be taking over, 9 (yes count them, 9!) members strong.  Here they are with one of their debut performances in the U.S. on Letterman:

They seated me and my mom next to a "first-date" couple. Oh, the things you overhear.

Guy: so .. are u one of those girls that get superjealous when guys have other girl friends?

Girl: No it doesnt matter they're just friends

Guy: You're so relaxed. I like that about u. Not like other girls. Uptight.

    Girl: giggly-puff*giggle*gigglefest. aww thanks!

I was about to chuck my corn at them but man that's somegood corn, I am not letting my corn go to waste.

The guy also dropped the f-bom a few too many times.. to which my mom raised her eyebrow.

Something about people who curse too much is unattractive.

Safe to say, my mom and I were amused but too busy nibbling on this amazing corn.

By now, if you haven't seen the amazing marketing campaign brought to you by the geniuses over at Nike, you are missing out.  Gotta love the Kobe System.  All of the ads are delightfully inspiring, but this one is my favorite yet!  When you dominate the game early, you should also dominate the game late!  Dominate REM sleep!

I never would've guessed that this heavy commercial is from a rice distributor. My parents always tell me a son/daughter can never possibly equate the love that parents have for their children.  We will turn 60 years old one day, and they will still see us as their baby.  My dad still picks out fishbones for me, and my mom still tells me to wear socks when it's a cold day.  I'm almost certain if it ever came down to having to piggy back me to walk even as a grown adult, they would do it without hesitation.  How do you repay your parents for the love that they surrender to you unconditionally?  Despite petty trivial things we may go through every once in a while, at the end of the day we should never take our family for granted.

My heart skips a beat to:
That really good song that you can put on repeat without getting tired of it, the perfect swish from nothing but net, bright colors that scream attention which I don't like to bask in, cars that remind me of cartoons, the right sneakers for every occasion, the honest "I've-missed-you" look my dog gives me when I come home, a quick run in the dark imagining someone is chasing me, anything kawaiiiiii, frozen desserts of many fulfilling kinds, heroes or arch-nemeses, life ambitions and carpe diem actions, exercising brain power, exploring So Cal, and eating food that is yummy-yummy, in my tummy. Did I mention I'm a web-junkie? Long live internet!
