I was so discouraged when I heard the news of Connecticut today - someone open fired and killed at least 20 people.. the worst part, including children.

    My heart breaks.

I don't understand why this happens.   I don't understand who would do such a thing.  If they are truly "mentally ill" does that really justify their action?  If they are that mentally ill, then perhaps they shouldn't roam the earth.  Sources say the shooter is dead, and I feel no sympathy for him.

My only feeling right now is sadness.  I feel sad for the families who have lost their loved ones to a senseless tragedy.  I feel awful for the people who survived this tragedy and will have forever engrained in them this horrific moment.

Cue the waterworks.  Everyone near and dear to me knows I'm not one who doesn't shed tears.  I think I actually have a malfunctioning tear duct that cranks out a tear even in cold weather.  In any case, I simply can't muster more words to describe the inner sadness that is triggered when you hear news like this to start your Friday.  Today is supposed to be a happy day.  A day that signifies the weekend is upon us.  I am reading people's twitter posts and it relieves me to know we are all human.  To know that we all share this grief, makes it a little more comforting, though not much better knowing that it doesn't erase the tragedy of events.  I will say, the good people in the world thankfully outnumber the bad.  And life interruptions such as this, well, the good ones will come together and we will get through it.  Perhaps it's a reminder that we should love one another everyday because we don't know what other asshole is going to ruin it for the rest of us.

If you haven't heard about the Gangnam Style, what prehistoric rock have you been living under?

I could show you the video that you've probably watched a million times, the song you've probably heard on the radio but don't quite know the words to, the newstory of the kids who got fired for making their own video to it, the man behind the song and dance that you're going to see for quite some time doing random cameos at award shows and talk shows across the nation...but instead I choose to show you my favorite Gangnam related video of the moment.

Check out this mom and son duo dancing to the Gangnam style on Ellen

Apple, do you really need 1.05 Billion Dollars?

I am a believer in consumer choices.  I own my fair share of Apple AND Samsung products.

I will have to disagree with the jury verdict.  The last thing we need is monopolization.  I think competition KEEPS you strong... it forces innovation.

I enjoy going to the cereal aisle and choosing from thousands of cereals.  They all have the same basic ingredients, but they're all slightly different and we are free to choose which one we feel like eating.

If I make a lemonade and sell it in my front yard, and my neighbor makes a lemonade that tastes better than my lemonade next door, then it will force me to introduce new items, like strawberry lemonade, or even lower my prices buy 2, get 1 free.

This is USA.  How are we forgetting that competition is a part of freedom?  I understand protecting patents and granted if something looked and performed just like the other, it would be an exact copy, which is a no-no. I own a Samsung Galaxy II and I've owned the iPhone 3GS.. They're NOTHING like one another.  I actually like BOTH phones for different reasons.  It must've been a grueling case.

Some people go through their entire life without catching a single ball at a baseball game.  This guy manages to get 2 during the same game.

I just recently returned from a bachelerotte party trip..  and I make the most of every experience.  I had a nice time away from home.  I hope the bride-to-be also enjoyed herself.  In these group settings I always find it difficult to spend truly close-knit time together with one another.. for what it is, which is bonding with a big group of girls, it was a success.  I hope to get smaller quality time though with my friend's fiancee, because those are the best moments I appreciate even more with good people.

I think some people assumptively think I'm a rookie partier, however, I've been around for a while..it's more like, I've been there done that already.  I've had my share of tipsy days, I've had my share of good times spent..  it's just that now at my age, I don't feel the need to have to go all out and get buck-wild-crazy.  It makes me sound like a conservative or old person, and everyone will have their own perspective.  I still find ways to enjoy my time, I LOVE music, and I will sing and dance to my hearts content and that moment on the dancefloor, I love being engulfed by the crowds, the beat of the music, the lights that flash along to the beat, and the DJ who starts to karate chop in the air as he spins.  I can easily forget that we are packed so tight someone's armpit is in my face.  I get easily bored just standing around..it's simple..I either seize the moment, or leave.  I don't really concern myself with others and what they choose to do.  Everyone is different.  Fun is relative.  Some people absolutely require drinks to have fun, and there are those of us who have fun regardless.  I like to think I'm the latter.  Fun to me isn't about boasting how many drinks you threw back.. as much as society makes that the norm..  Fun to me is about internally how much fun YOU have, and how good YOU feel.  :) I had fun.

My heart skips a beat to:
That really good song that you can put on repeat without getting tired of it, the perfect swish from nothing but net, bright colors that scream attention which I don't like to bask in, cars that remind me of cartoons, the right sneakers for every occasion, the honest "I've-missed-you" look my dog gives me when I come home, a quick run in the dark imagining someone is chasing me, anything kawaiiiiii, frozen desserts of many fulfilling kinds, heroes or arch-nemeses, life ambitions and carpe diem actions, exercising brain power, exploring So Cal, and eating food that is yummy-yummy, in my tummy. Did I mention I'm a web-junkie? Long live internet!
