I am in no way related to nor do I know Mr. Brian Shih, but a friend of mine sent me his article once I had expressed my disappointment at the latest Google Reader changes.  And his viewpoint seems to have summed up my exact sentiments.  On that day they killed the share/friend/comment features on Google Reader, I mourned.

Goodbye CDs.. Goodbye Blockbusters... Goodbye Borders... Goodbye Paper maps from Thomas Guide + Rand McNally... Goodbye House Phones..  Goodbye Film.. Goodbye SnailMail..  Goodbye Checks.. I've just been thinking about all the stuff that has become obsolete or less used over the past several years.. What will we say goodbye to next?

My biggest takeaway from today's loss: Steve Jobs was a legend who led a revolution in technology and music that would impact the entire world.  But even more than the product that would touch the masses, is the reminder about life I get whenever someone amazing passes.  I'm not saying everyone has to be extraordinary like Steve Jobs.  But evaluate yourself and what you are doing with your life currently.  Are you happy with what you are doing?  This applies to all angles and levels of your life whether it's your career, health, family, relationships, etc.  Is there something you want to change?  Ultimately, the most relevant question to ask yourself is, if you were to die tomorrow, have you done all you wanted to today?  In certain circumstances, you may be limited to be more practical about life decisions, but in the cases where you can control what you're doing or how you're doing it, try to progress without regrets and hesitation.  Take a risk or a chance, without concerning yourself too much about failure.  I'm not saying be stupid either.  It's okay to deviate from your path.  Do everything with a wise frame of mind.  Weigh pro's and con's.  Write out goals and tackle challenges.  Don't hurt people in the process.  How do you know if something would work or not if you never tried?  Don't be so self conscious either.  Don't take good people who surround you for granted.  Who cares what others think?  Live your life today and progress towards tomorrow.

And boy, I sure do love my iPod, thanks for revolutionizing music and technology.

I don't know anyone who doesn't appreciate a good moleskin every now and then.

I thought these custom printed ones on Etsy were pretty clever.  Not trying to promote violence but this one made me crack up.  Actually on a more positive note, I always wanted to publish my Ultimate Book of People who are Genuinely Nice because They are, Not because They're Trying to Be Nice.  One day.  One day.

Everytime I watch this, it makes me crack up.  Hi-larious!

At first glance, your response might be haha, What on EARTH is this?  Which might evolve into a SERIOUSLY?  Why?  Then it dissipates into a quizzical hmm, wonder if I can do it!  Now that you're educated in the art of the plank, will you try it?  Planking in stupidity is not condoned here.  Apparently, some kid planked off building to his death.  Like anything else in life, please be smart, people.

My heart skips a beat to:
That really good song that you can put on repeat without getting tired of it, the perfect swish from nothing but net, bright colors that scream attention which I don't like to bask in, cars that remind me of cartoons, the right sneakers for every occasion, the honest "I've-missed-you" look my dog gives me when I come home, a quick run in the dark imagining someone is chasing me, anything kawaiiiiii, frozen desserts of many fulfilling kinds, heroes or arch-nemeses, life ambitions and carpe diem actions, exercising brain power, exploring So Cal, and eating food that is yummy-yummy, in my tummy. Did I mention I'm a web-junkie? Long live internet!
