..and play ball with the big boys.
Cup half-full: I'm glad she is not wasting such great height. Look at it this way, since she is only allowed to play with the girls, she will excel and it will be easier for her to be the best of the best. If she's looking for a challenge, she can play pick-up games outside of her leagues/schools on the side and still better her skills. The WNBA was created to open doors for future female ballers everywhere. I can't imagine women in the NBA. I imagine it would be awkward in the locker room. From a practical standpoint, on a physical level I think men and women are simply designed for different leagues - not because women are any less skilled than men, but for obvious reasons such as body type, height, muscle mass, etc. Men are just factually bigger. I'm all for the "anything you can do, I can do better" mentality and drive, but at the same time I don't think it is a big deal for men and women to play in their own separate leagues. Besides, she will meet other girls who are at her playing level as she gets older. She just happens to be at a big advantage right now looming over all her opponents, so I don't think it's that bad of a situation to be in. Keep it up!
