For those of you who watch Fringe, check out Massive Dynamic's website: http://www.massivedynamic.com
This has potential for viral marketing by emulating a real company website. There's buzz going around about whether the password protected employee log-in will eventually lead to something cool - they could potentially make this like a VIP area for true fans of the show and run with it from there. I've only watched the pilot so far. Elle gave me a heads up that Joshua Jackson still reminds her of Dawson's Creek, and that the show itself is an attempt to piggy back off possibly one of the greatest sci-fi TV shows of all time, the X-Files. But I'll tell you this - this is NO Xfiles. No one can replace Mulder and Scully, and shouldn't dare try. Although, after sitting through it, minus the lame love scenes, and predictable outcomes, I was left semi-interested and will have to give the rest of the season a chance. I like the dialogue. I hope there are more of those, "Surprise!" twists in the plot type of elements added to it. Pictured below: 1. The Massive Dynamic website even has a careers section, I tried submitting my resume, to no avail. 2. A similar attempt at viral marketing through a real-life-mimicking website that I can recall is for the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". (Excellent movie BTW.) Fans of the movie recall Lacuna, the clinic responsible for erasing your troubling memories. You can play around with the site at http://www.lacunainc.com
